Local Maps

TripAdvisor has a new feature that I think will be pretty helpful to travelers. It is a local map of a city, with the hotels shown. For example, if you click on Portland Hotels, there will be a link in the middle of the page to show the local map. This lets you see exactly where the hotel is, along with all the others, as well as the average price and the average rating based on reviews.

We have about half of our trip to Florida planned for December, and this little feature will be nice to help with the rest of the planning. Either that or I will feel even more overwhelmed, lol!

I have to go look and see what Buenos Aires has on their pages..I can use a map here in Portland too...all the time lol

Just a side note, you can move the map around (just hold down the left mouse button and move the map) ... just make sure to hit ';reload'; to see new hotels.

Also, we unfortunately don%26#39;t offer the feature outside the U.S. quite yet ... hopefully we can start offering them worldwide in the near future :-)

Hi Tannerduke, yes, I found out there was no map for Buenos Aires. I will blame TA every time we get lost lol. But it still might help us with finding our way around Portland.

Tannerduke--Too bad it can%26#39;t help Scarlett for her trip, but I am really glad to have this feature for ours! We are headed to Florida in December, and lived there years ago, so only vaguely remember our way around. This map feature is helping a lot! Thanks!!!
