Whaleshead Still In Business?

I had read a review on the Whaleshead Resort and went looking for information since there wasn%26#39;t anything on TA Reviews about it. I found a link to the newspaper article saying that two of the cabins had burned and two were damaged on Thurs. July 22. Can anyone tell me if the resort is still in business? I would want to patronize them if they are open - they obviously wil suffer economic hardship and probably need all the business they can get for the next year. How sad. The pictures of the resort on the internet looked just beautiful.

I live in Southern Oregon, and while I have not been to Whaleshead Resort since you posted this note, I talked with the owner operator of the Resort. They are setting up a new facility at Hyatt Lake here in Southern Oregon. She encouraged us to come on up and stay and Whaleshead. This was just about the time of your posting, so I am assuming that they are going strong.

Yes, Whaleshead is still here and thriving!

We have lived here for 9 years, and wouldn%26#39;t be anywhere else.

Since they have bought Hyatt Lake Resort, the owners are not here much, anymore.....and that is just fine with us!
