Hi All,
We will be camping at Honeyman State Park for 5 days. We have not been to this part of the coast before. I%26#39;d like to hear about some good places to eat. We aren%26#39;t big seafood eaters but we do like the greasy spoon, home style diners etc. We will probably want pizza one night as well.
Thanks!
Good Restaurant Advicehi~
my sister recommends the Beachcomber Tavern in old town. A little bit of everything place, maybe not for young kids. But there are a lot of new resturants in old town florence, so you shouldnt have any trouble. Siuslaw River Coffee is also good too.
Good Restaurant AdviceHappy, even if you%26#39;re not a seafood eater, you ought to check out Mo%26#39;s in Florence. It has a wonderful view of the river and the bridge. They have hamburgers as well as seafood.
We were just in Florence in July and there were a lot of new restaurants which we didn%26#39;t get a chance to try.
If you need groceries, there is a Grocery Outlet on Highway 101 as well as a nice big Fred Meyer.
Have a good trip!!

The two places I always go whenever I%26#39;m ever in the neighborhood are the Harbor Light Family Restaurant in Reedsport (good breakfasts, even stuff like quiche and frittata), and for some reason whenever I%26#39;m in Florence I feel like having Chinese food at that place in old town. Not sure if it exists anymore.
The Beachcomber is good as is the Firehouse. Both are on Bay Street in Old-town. I also recommend Traveler%26#39;s Cove to those that like Mexican. It%26#39;s on Bay Street as well.
Abby%26#39;s Pizza on Hwy 101 north of the Hwy 126 jct is the only pizza parlor besides Pizza Hut. It%26#39;s a very popular place, especially on Friday and Saturday.

One of our favorite restaurants in Florence for breakfast or lunch, is Cackleberries. The only reason we don%26#39;t go there for dinner is that they are only open for breakfast and lunch! It%26#39;s a small restaurant, but you are treated like family and the food is top quality. When you order bacon or sausage, you get the best they can buy! My friend said they had a steak sandwich there for lunch and the steak was the best!! I wouldn%26#39;t expect anything else from my friends at Cackleberries. It%26#39;s located on 101, just north of where Hwy 126 comes into 101.

I%26#39;ll second the suggestion for Mo%26#39;s. They have a few locations along the Oregon Coast. www.moschowder.com is the website to view menus, etc. Have a great trip! :)
I third the Mo%26#39;s suggestion, we have only eaten at Mo%26#39;s in Cannon Beach, but when we were there a couple of weeks ago and it was windy and chilly, that clam chowder was so satisfying!
They also have all your usual ';greasy spoon'; kind of dishes like burgers with the best fries ( we had fish sandwiches with fries-very good) and some people were having some sort of meat loaf thing.
Have fun, I know when we camped when our kids were small, we always had good appetites :)
