Online info. as of now is unavailable. Web site down. So, you all are so wonderful about helping us out, we would like to know how to have one in my hand before we leave on vacation? And, is it good for all coastal parks and Crater Lake. What does it cover, and is it worth it for a 10 day adventure? How much? Thank you so much for your time in this matter!!
Oregon Pacific Coast PassportHi Pencar-
I had to look this up-I%26#39;ve never heard of this, but that doesn%26#39;t mean anything!! :) The following information is not from the USFS, but from another web-so make sure to look this up from an offical website.
';The Oregon Pacific Coast Passport is valid for entrance, day use and vehicle parking fees at all State and Federal fee sites along the entire Oregon portion of the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway (U.S. Highway 101) from Astoria to Brookings. Over 15 sites (see list of sites) managed by the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Oregon State Parks are covered by the passport.
An annual passport, valid for the calendar year, costs $35. A passport valid for five consecutive days is available for $10. Golden Age or Golden Access discounts are not available on these passports. ';
Most park day entry fees are $3 so if you are planning on visiting at least 3 of the listed sites(the site list is down) during a 5 day period I would say its a good deal.
Looks like it is only for the coastal areas-not Crater Lake.
You don%26#39;t really need a %26#39;pass%26#39; to enjoy the beach, but they are useally required at the heavily used areas(i.e. the %26#39;must-stop%26#39; areas for tourists).
Oregon Pacific Coast PassportChinookgrrrrl is correct. The Pacific Coast Passport is good only for day use access to the 16 state and federal fee sites along hwy 101 in Oregon.
All state park fee areas are $3 per day while USFS sites are now $5. If you pay at one site, you do not need to pay at the next as long as the visit occurs during the same day and is managed by the same agency. The Forest Service does offer 5 and 10 day passes as well, but these are not accepted and other agency fee areas such as state, BLM or National Parks.
Further confused????

Thank you for that information. The official site is still down. We will be spending approx. 6 days from Crescent City to Astoria. So, when we get out there we will probably purchase the 5 day.
