Have reservation for Tuesday at Comfort Inn Troutdale. Is it in safe area? If not, any other recommendations?

The area is primarily a truck stop with an outlet mall and some fast food and truck stop food nearby. It%26#39;s right on the freeway, so access is great. I don%26#39;t think the area is unsafe, but just don%26#39;t wander the local truck stop parking lots at night.

Thanks for the info on the C omfort Inn. That%26#39;s what I thought. We are really planning on doing a lot of sightseeing, and just want a comfortable place to lay our heads.

You gotta try some Tad%26#39;s Chicken and Dumplins on the banks of the Sandy River. Do so after a long hike along the gorge.
