I am bringing my son to see a concert at the Roseland in about 2 weeks. I was wanting to stay downtown so we could walk around town for coffee and sights in the morning. Any suggestions?? We are on a very limited budget ,so 1 hundred or less for the hotel would be good.
upcoming concert at Roseland, where to stay close by???$100 or less might be tough to find or enjoy. A little higher might include a stay at The Silver Cloud on NW Thurman or Northrup Station.
upcoming concert at Roseland, where to stay close by???Inn @ Northrup is a great suggestion. We have not stayed here but the property is in a great neighborhood and looks very nice. The lobby area is very colorful and there is a rooftop area that is nice for relaxing. It is located in the Nob Hill area of Portland where there are plenty of nice coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques.
Have fun in Portland! :)
syrahgirl--You are kidding, right??? Relaxing on the rooftop with the weather we have been having??? Guess you need to come visit and see for yourself:)
LOL, I know Portlanders are not bothered by rain but somehow I cannot imagine anyone enjoying the roof deck at the Inn@Northrup until sometime next June or July :)
There is a Holiday Inn Express over in the NW that has low rates. Or check with pova.com and see what the hotels in town are offering as specials.
Good luck!!
If you need help with where to eat on a budget, be sure to ask, we (I) do enjoy eating out here in Portland :)
LOL Mtngrl and Scarlett.... With the weather we%26#39;ve had lately, that rooftop area may well now be a rooftop pool.
I%26#39;ve never used Priceline, so can%26#39;t advise on the bidding process, but have read of several who have bid less than $100 for a four-star downtown Portland hotel and ended up in the Benson. That%26#39;s a great deal on a nice hote; and the Benson%26#39;s located just a few blocks from the Roseland.
This is really making me laugh:) What is the old saying...par for the course;)
Or in my case, bogey. ;-)
