Looking for hotsprings with hotels between Bend and PDX

I can%26#39;t remember the hotel I saw on one of the passes with a beautiful hotel? I remember it had a pool that was an actual hot spring and a trail leading up into the woods. I%26#39;m looking for something along these lines for my husband and I to go for Thanksgiving weekend. I appreciate any input and ideas.

Thanks!

There is Brittenbush on the N Santiam via a dirt rd between Bend and Portland, or you can get there via hwy 97 to 26 west. That would be my guess with regards to what you are thinking of.

The only other place I can think of not mentioned yet is the Kah Nee Ta Resort %26amp; Casino on the Warm Springs Reservation that has a natural hot springs spa and a hotel. Don%26#39;t think there%26#39;d be a trail to the woods, but they do have hiking/horse trails.

Our three member scenic Byways rating team drove all over Oregon Since Breitenbush was near one of the prposals. Other two, a woman and a man, team members said we needed to see the Hot Springs.

I decided not to warn them, because I was pretty sure that would not deter them, and was not sure if we would run into the nude bathers, but we did. The man in group was the photographer and he had 3 cameras. but we did not seem to bother the bathers.

Best way to get to Breitenbush is leave OR-22 at Detroit and head northeast on Forest Service Road along Breitenbush River 8 to 10 miles. It is paved road.

I would guess it is Belknap you remember

Also Bagby hot springs. Pretty primitive. Don%26#39;t leave any valuables in your car - might be hard to do if you have luggage. There are tubs you can sit in somewhat privately and then a large communal hot tub. Kah-nei-ta (sp) and Belknap could both be what you are thinking of. Belknap has a wonderful trail that leads to a garden in the woods. Its right next to the McKenzie River.
