My SO and son leave Saturday for San Francisco, stopping over in Medford or Grants Pass. Advice appreciated on a clean but economical motel in either of those two cities. Many thanks.
Motel, Economical/Cheap, CLEAN, Medford and Grants Pass
We just had famil from the SF area come visit for Thanksgiving, and they stayed at the Best Western in Medford on the way up and said it was fine. Too bad your post wasn%26#39;t earlier so I could have asked them questions, but they are on their way back already.

Holiday Inn Express Grants Pass- was good about 1 year ago when I stayed there. Right off the freeway...
We%26#39;ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Express many times - it%26#39;s just fine. I do prefer the La Quinta Inn and the Comfort Inn, however. The breakfast is a little better, and they%26#39;re a little bigger rooms. All three have free wireless internet.
Comfort Inn is off the first Grants Pass exit (downtown) - the La Quinta and Holiday Inn Express are off the last Grants Pass exit. All are conveniently located to food and freeway.
Nothing special, for sure, but clean, convenient, and as economical as anything in Grants Pass.
We%26#39;ve also stayed at the Riverside Motel - once. The others are better.
Another thought with Grants Pass - you can take the Redwood Highway out of Grants Pass for a more scenic and enjoyable drive to San Francisco than I-5, and not all that much slower.
Thank you all for advice. I sent it on to them where they will pick up this info. WiFi. Sorry for the last minute request.
Mid-course correction. I called my SO and her son and told them what you said, Johann%26amp;Sandra, and they pushed on, on that route, to stay in Crescent City for the night. Intrepid souls :). We had taken that route ourselves and truly enjoyed it, so she thought her son would also. Thanks again to all.
