Anyone stayed in Overleaf Village cottages?

Lots of great reviews for the Overleaf Lodge near Yachats, but has anyone rented one of the cottages in Overleaf Village? Is it all part of the same resort or what? We%26#39;d like a place with at least a kitchenette.

Anyone stayed in Overleaf Village cottages?

I%26#39;ve not stayed there, but they look as nice as the hotel portion. Basaically, they are small houses interspersed throughout the woods along the road leading to the lodge. Some are fairly close to busy Hwy 101, while others are closer to the lodge. The one disadvantage is that they do not have ocean views.

Anyone stayed in Overleaf Village cottages?

My wife and I own one of the homes in Overleaf Village as a second/vacation home (since 2003) and of course we are biased regarding their appeal. We do not rent ours, but of the ones that are available, each is unique in design and decor - all of which are well appointed and tasteful. Of course, each home has a fully equipped kitchen.

The Overleaf Lodge staff that manages the rentals are top notch.

The lodge has many rooms with %26#39;kitchenettes%26#39; and each room has a fireplace. A new addition to the lodge offers more rooms and spa/massage amenities. All rooms have outstanding ocean views.

Only a few homes in the Village have ocean views, but we don%26#39;t consider that a detriment. We%26#39;re away from the brunt of the occasional high winds/rain, but can still hear the roar of the surf.

The 804 trail is less than 100 yds. from any of the homes

To the north, the trail leads to miles of sandy beach. To the south, the trail will lead into the town of Yachats, which is small but offers some of the best restaurants on the Oregon coast. La Serre is cozy and a bit more upscale while the Drift Inn across the street offers excellent food and great live music nearly every night.

The Cape Perpetua scenic area begins almost at the sourthern city limit of Yachats. If offers some of the most dramatic and scenic stretches of coast line in Oregon (or the entire west coast), including miles of %26#39;old growth%26#39; forest trails.

We highly recommend both the Overleaf Lodge and any of the Village homes.
