Best Eugene Hotel

Does anyone have any suggestions for a great place to stay in Eugene or near there? My husband is going to be fishing all day and I was wondering if there was any great shopping in the area or anywhere special to sightsee? Thanks Jodie

I thought you were in a hurry to get south. I agree with other poster turn inland at Florence if Eugene a destination

Valley River Inn is probaly the best in terms of location (downtown right on the Willamette River), service, and proximity to 1-5. There are many cheaper but none nicer in the Eugene/Springfiled area IMHO.

By ';downtown'; I meant next to Valley River Center, the largest mall in the area.

I agree Valley River Inn best place to stay in Eugene, if you can afford it. with husband fishing all day that should not be a problem.

Thanks so much for the info. I called that place and what a nice place but they are booked because of two convention groups and two wedding parties. We decided to stay at the Holiday Farm Resort on the McKenzie River, perfect for a fisherman and his family. Thanks, Jodie

The Downtown Motel on 7th and Lawrence- the cleanest, nicest, least expensive... park right outside room, brand new big TV and appliances AND continental breakfast. Also weekly rates. This was the original Motel in Eugene in the 50%26#39;s- has a homey cottage feel.

The Eugene Hilton and Convention center is another nice place to stay. It%26#39;s also close to a shopping district and has nice accomodations.

The Phoenix Inn is excellent!! The staff is super helpful and friendly and they have nice spacious clean rooms. Breakfast in the morning at waffles, eggs, sauges . .ummm. You get complimentary bottles of water in the rooms and free local calls unlike alot of the other hotels in Eugene. Book in advance, they are very busy!

We enjoyed the Cambell House Inn (a B%26amp;B plus they serve dinner). It%26#39;s in walking distance to some very nice restaurants %26amp; boutique shops
